ICYMI: Nigeria’s Olamide meets South Africa’s Motha on African Voices | The Guardian Nigeria News - Nigeria and World News

The artiste who is widely known as Olamide or Baddo will feature alongside South African dancer and choreographer, Musa Motha.

Olamide’s songs are hugely popular because of their heavy street lingo, while his record label, YBNL Nation, serves as a platform for him and up and coming music talents to hone their skills.Since he started his career, he has won several awards including Best Indigenous Artiste at the 2013 Nigeria Entertainment Awards and Most Gifted Rap Artiste from West Africa in the Channel O Music Video Awards in 2014.

The second guest on the programme, Motha, equally has an inspiring story. Despite having his left leg amputated 12 years ago because of cancer, he pursues his passion for dancing vigorously. He has become a role model for others with similar life-threatening illnesses by rising above his disability to become a celebrated professional dancer.

African Voices Changemakers comes up on DSTV channel 401 on Saturday at 9.30 a.m., with repeats on Sunday at 4.30 a.m., 7.30 a.m., 12.30 p.m., and 7.30 p.m. Another repeat comes up on Monday at 4.00 a.m., while a two-part, 15-minute rebroadcast runs on Tuesday and Wednesday at 6.45 p.m.
