In Katsina State 31 new cases were confirmed while 20 were confirmed in Abuja.

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Friday confirmed 386 new COVID-19 cases, with Lagos having nearly half of the entire infections. Borno had 17 new cases while 15 were confirmed in Bauchi state.

NCDC announced 14 in Nasarawa state and 13 in Ogun State. Plateau also recorded 10 new cases of the virus. Oyo, Sokoto and Rivers alos recorded four new cases each while Kaduna State confirmed three new cases.A total of 3912 cases have now been recorded in 34 states and the federal capital territory .The increase in the number of cases over the past few weeks has been attributed to increased testing.

While there have been concerns about the number of tests carried out, Chikwe Ihekweazu, said that the figures released as number of tests done does not fully reflect the work that goes on in the laboratories.
