Nigeria has recorded 196 new cases of the novel coronavirus, bringing the country’s total infections to 1,728.
According to a tweet by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control , in the early hours of Thursday, of the new infections, 87 are in Lagos, 24 are in Kano, while 18 are in Gombe. Seventeen were recorded in Kaduna, 16 in the FCT, 10 in Katsina, eight in Sokoto, seven in Edo, six in Borno and one each in Yobe, Ebonyi and Adamawa states.
NCDC are in the best position to advance the federal government on the increase of covid-19 infections, because the ease of the lockdown can lead to surge of covid-19 infections this very dangerous.
I know how harsh it may sound , opening of lockdown at this moment is dangerous. Let govt give any little they can and let's all stay at home.

Ncdc is here publishing result without doing any other thing.. Senegal develop there own test kit n ventilators themselves n everyone is been tested easily n treatment given, raising no fear. Same with Madagascar, with their covid drugs developed by their CDC.

If only we had obeyed the instructions, like social distancing, regular handwashing or use of hand sanitizer and or the stay at home order. The numbers wouldn't have risen this much.
My question is: Is Mr President supposed to relax the lockdown now that the confirmed cases are increasing by double digits per day?. I think relaxing the lockdown isn't a good move at this moment.

This is a expected to be dealt with an attack ( looking for the virus by extensive testing) and defence (lock down, social distancing and hand washing) mechanism. Unfortunately our government is not ready. They are all hiding comfortable in their bunkers with no clue
The cases are expected to continue rising especially now that there is community transmission of the disease. The aim of the lock down is to reduce transmission. It's difficult to reduce transmission in a place like Nigeria where you lock people down and don't provide food
I don't think we are ready to lift this lockdown. Especially in Lagos. The numbers are growing like crazy. If there's a major outbreak, we are def going for another lockdown and this time will be total. Plus our healthcare system cannot handle an outbreak.
