According to a statement, the Vice-President spoke during the virtual inauguration and handing over of the 200,000-capacity yam storage facility at the Zaki Biam International Yam Market in Benue State.
He said the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari , was excited about the inauguration of the facility because “a major concern for him has been that the COVID-19 crisis does not in any way disturb agriculture and the food supply chain.
Why cant the VP tell us what his govt is doing to tackle this wastage.
We lose 6.8m tonnes of yam, but the same yam is so costly over here in the East.
