President Muhammadu Buhari has stated that his government is currently grappling with “current economic challenges such as debt burden, growing inflation, living standards and increasing unemployment” which he blamed on the growing youthful population. Buhari in his last Independence Day speech to Nigerians on Saturday morning, said his government made some achievements across different sectors of the economy. This is as he called on the Academic Staff Union of Universities, which has been on a seven-month-old strike to return to the classroom.

Nigeria Currently Battling Debt Burden, Growing Inflation, Rising Unemployment – Buhari Admits In ‘Last Independence Speech’ Of His TenureBuhari in his last Independence Day speech to Nigerians on Saturday morning, said his government made some achievements across different sectors of the economy.

SaharaReporters observed that Buhari’s speech, as usual, lacked concrete promises and blueprints to address the country’s growing challenges, as the president made characteristic general remarks and comments about insecurity, economic downturns and citizens’ impoverishment. “Our efforts in re-setting the economy manifested in Nigeria exiting two economic recessions by the very practical and realistic monetary and fiscal measures to ensure effective public financial management. In addition, the effective implementation of the Treasury Single Account and cutting down on the cost of governance also facilitated early exits from recessions.

“As we continue to de-escalate the security challenges that confronted us at inception of this administration, newer forms alien to our country began to manifest especially in the areas of kidnappings, molestations/killings of innocent citizens, banditry, all of which are being addressed by our security forces.

CELEBRATING NIGERIA AT 62.? ▪︎NO CLASS ▪︎NO SHAME ▪︎NO HONOR

How much did it cost us to attend the just concluded UNGA in the US.We learnt that close to 100 made up the entourage to the occasion where we begged for debt forgiveness from creditors who are far more prudent than we are while we flaunted our extravagance in their faces. FFT

Absolute fiasco

It's a worldwide trend occasioned by the global pandemic. It has to be put in proper context. So people who don't know should not think that it's easy to turn things around when circumstances beyond your control strike.

Just pack and go. There is nothing more to give as your container is empty

From top to bottom government

His legacy, folks!

mbuhari's independence speech is the most insulting speech ever. This incompetent man should just resign already. The worst President in Nigerian history

Nigeria debt is lesser than that of Egypt and south Africa and it's not a burden

PMB disappoint big time, just wasted the good will that brought him to office.

Which Buhari, d dead one or d one from Niger?

omeresea Even with this confession from the horses mouth.. Agbado boys will still remain possessed by Evil spirit

APC and Tinubu supporters won’t still agree 😂😂

In conclusion, terrorist Buhari is a colossal failure, who never delivered on one campaign promise, after constant threats of suicide, if he doesn't become president, by force n by fire. We now see why God rejected him numerous times.. Nigerians beware of political frauds!!

President Buhari publicly admits failures. Yet Femi Adeshina boasts like an unguarded parrot. Some people should simply bury their heads in shame.

Plz we have moved on from you

We salute and congratulate Nigeria on her attainment of 62 years as a nation. We pray for the restoration of good things in our nation. We also congratulate our dear President for the imminent freedom from office that awaits you. Congratulations, Nigerians!

Debt burden that you put us into.

All occasioned by him .....

AjuriNgelale should come and spin this in a foreign accent, the nonsense infrastructure that has sent our country into unprecedented debt due to over inflated contracts, that are yielding nothing. At the end of the tenure, their principal is finally admitting the truth.

October 1st 2022 will be the last October Nigerian will witness,October 1st 2023 so many countries inside Nigeria will emerge &we all will have our lasting peace and rebuild our nation as we pleased,Republic of Biafra will be one of the greatest country that will emerge come 2023

This thing did not come to better Nigeria, rather Foolani hegemony which he partially succeeded

Koshi danu

Which one be Green White Blue again?🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

I still remember his Top to bottom statement and that is exactly what he did 😡

Who created the “debt burden”?

Wasted Nigeria resources by walking backwards

But you still have intentions of borrowing more. Do you see the incompetence.

You cause the debt thankgod you made your last speech

No iota of positive legacy. And some people still wan APC continuity. Suffer no de tire una

This is PO and his biafra fellow agitators, he’s gonna fail come 2023
