The drivers obstructed vehicular movement on the busy highway in the area, using their used articulated vehicles.
It was gathered that the protest followed the nine months closure of the Minna-Bida road to trailer drivers. A resident of the area who confirmed the situation said movement within the town has become difficult due to the protest of the trailer drivers. “The current situation for motorists in Bida town is really very disturbing. We call on the state government to intervene in this situation,” Ode Mohammed who confirmed the development, he, however, lamented the current situation for motorists in Bida.
