The Niger State Police Command has paraded two suspected members of a 10-man gang of bandits and cattle rustlers, recovering a total of 71 cows and 23

The animals, it was gathered were stolen last week Friday, when the bandits attacked Chibani, Dnalakpe villages via Zazagha in Munya Local Government Area of the state and ferried them to Kwali forest in Abuja.

However, they were nabbed by the police attached to Gawu-Babangida division, Gurara LG of the state, where they came to sell two out of the 23 sheep they stole. Parading the suspects in Minna, the state Police Public Relations Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, said they were arrested on Tuesday based on credible information received by the security officers in the area.Abiodun explained that the suspects were sighted at Izom cattle market with two suspected stolen sheep from Munya Council and an alarm was raised leading to their arrest.

He explained that during interrogation, the suspects confessed to be members of a ten-man gang of bandits who stormed communities in Munya LG last week Friday and rustled cattle to the forest of Kwali, Abuja.He further stated that effort is ongoing to arrest other members of the gang, while the case is under investigation.
