The Punch reports that the federal government said it is ready to meet with NLC in what appears to be a move to avert the warning strike scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday. The newspaper says the federal government is considering enforcing regulations on frequent cases of flight cancellations and delays.

THISDAY reports that President Bola Tinubu has recalled all career and non-career ambassadors serving in different countries. The newspaper reports that the Edo state government has relocated the office of Philip Shaibu, the deputy governor, out of the government house. Nigerian Tribune reports that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission is currently tracking over N500 billion in looted funds. The newspaper says unions in tertiary institutions, including the Academic Staff Union of Universities , are set to join the NLC’s warning strike.

Daily Sun reports that Abdullahi Ganduje, national chairman of the All Progressives Congress , said the party will retain the governorship seat in Kogi by winning the November 11 election. The newspaper said at least seven persons were killed on Friday when suspected bandits attacked worshippers in a mosque at Saya-Saya village in Ikara LGA of Kaduna.
