Reports on the lingering petrol scarcity across the country dominate the frontpages of Nigerian newspapersThe Punch reports that petrol now sells for N800 per litre, as the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited on Monday began offloading 240 million litres of petrol in a bid to tackle the worsening nationwide scarcity.

The Guardian reports that Godwin Obaseki, governor of Edo, has announced the increase in minimum wage in his state to N70,000. The newspaper says the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission has announced the deregulation of meter prices under the meter asset provider scheme for end-user customers.

Daily Trust reports that petrol marketers said only NNPCL can tell Nigerians when the current scarcity will end.
