President Muhammadu Buhari Thursday presided over the virtual launch of Gold Purchase Programme in State House.At the event held in the Council Chambers at the State House, Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, presented a gold bar to President Muhammadu Buhari. Emefiele also presented to the Chief of Staff to the President, Prof Ibrahim Gambari, a dummy cheque of N268,608,236:00 for 12.5kg LBMA gold in favour of the Presidential Artisanal Gold Mining Development Initiative.

Present at the presentation were the Vice President Prof.Yemi Osinbajo SAN,; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. Boss Mustapha; Chief of Staff Gambari; CBN Governor Emefiele; Minister of Finance, Hajiya Zainab Ahmed; Minister of Mines and Steel, Olamilekan Adegbite, and Minister of State Mines and Steel Development, Dr Uchechukwu Oga.

Others were Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El Rufai; Kebbi State Governor, Atiku Bagudu Abubakar; Niger State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello; Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, and Deputy Governor of Zamfara State, Alhaji Mahdi Aliyu Gusau. Also at the presentation were Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina; SSAP Domestic and Social Affairs, Mallam Abba Sarki, and Funso Philip.
