The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has raided a shrine used to store illicit drugs in Igor community, Benin City, Edo State, guarded by a giant black snake.
According to the statement, two ladies, Sonia Chinonso Ezumezu and Risikatu Tijani, were arrested during the operation on June 18, this year after the snake was killed. The illicit substance, also called ice or crystal meth, was packed in imported Dunkin’ turtle love chocolate wraps, and concealed in three loudspeakers, he said.The statement added that a suspect, Michael Odiomume, 39, who was sending the consignment to Owerri, the Imo State capital, was arrested on June 19 at the park.
