The Commission also revealed that it has so far installed 3,806.15km of distribution lines to modernize the power sector to light up the Niger Delta region with about 527 transformers to ensure stable power supply.
Ogbuku said some of those projects have impacted positively on the rural people, saying, “NDDC has constructed so many roads to link up rural communities, commissioned rural electrification projects in communities that have been in darkness for several years”. Also speaking, the Executive Director Project, Chief Victor Antai said that NDDC has gone into partnership with the International Fund for Agricultural Development, IFAD, on $60m Job Creation programme which is design to drastically reduce youth unemployment.
