The Commandant, Nigerian Defence Academy Maj.-Gen. John Ochai has called on the Federal Government to support the local production of arms and ammunition in the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria .
The commandant said, “DICON and NDA are two strategic organizations dear to the soul of the Nation because if you train and do not equip, the training is useless. Ochai added that DICON was not meant to produce military hardware alone but to produce other products like uniforms, berets, and mess tins, amongst others.
In his remarks, the D-G DICON Maj.- Gen. Aniedi Edet, appreciated the commandant for his commitment and sacrifice to visit DICON and his efforts to make it great.
