NCC suspends issuance of new licences for mobile virtual operators, others

The Nigerian Communications Commission has announced a temporary suspension on the issuance of new licences for three telecommunications categories. NCC ’s spokesperson, Reuben Muoka, disclosed the suspensions in a statement on Friday, noting that the suspension commences immediately.

Muoka said the suspension is necessary to allow the Commission to conduct a thorough review of several key areas within these categories, such as the current level of competition, market saturation, and market dynamics.
