He further assured that NBC would be incorporated into its Digital Transformation Working Group to facilitate capacity building for their personnel and teach them relevant technology application.
Abdullahi also urged NBC to key into the programme and activities being provided by the agency through its Strategic Road Map and Action Plan 2021-2024, advising the Commission to create a similar strategy for the use of modern technology in content regulations. He was quoted as saying, “The SRAP is designed as a template or map to assist the Agency in achieving its target plans through the execution of the strategic pillars, and I am optimistic that our collaboration will uplift the actualization of its mandates such as digital skills, innovation among others.”
The courtesy visit end with Abdullahi taking NBC DG on a tour within NITDA’s digital building that includes a view of the latest and modern equipment for tracking and curbing possible cyber-attacks in Nigeria.
