The Nasarawa State Police Command has arrested six suspected kidnappers who have been terrorising residents in Lafia Local Government Area of the state.

The state Commissioner of Police, Maiyaki Baba, made the disclosure to newsmen at the command’s headquarters in Lafia on Monday while parading 28 suspected criminals who were arrested in the month of January 2023, for committing various crimes across the 13 LGAs of the state.

He explained that the six suspected kidnappers, who had been on the watch list of the police, were arrested in Kiguna Village of Lafia East Development Area in Lafia LGA after painstaking efforts by officers of the command. He said, “On January 12, 2023 at about 4:50pm, acting based on a tip off, police operatives attached to Assakio Division raided a suspected kidnappers hide out located at Kiguna Village, Lafia East Development Area, where the following suspects were arrested namely: Adamu Mohammed, 20 years, Musa Ibrahim aka IBB, 20years, Bashiru Anaruwa, 19 years and Hamisu Tanko, 20 years, all of Kiguna Village.
