The Nigeria Medical Association on Wednesday said the Federal Government was responsible for the ongoing strike by the members of the National Association of Resident Doctors.in AbujaHe said, “NARD is part of NMA. One of the issues is that people tend to separate NARD from NMA, the same issues affect the two associations.

“We come in, we discuss issues, we all agree on the points laid down, we stamp it and put a time frame and then NARD call off the strike; but what happens next? The FG won’t fulfil the promises. “Now, they are saying the budget is stopping them from financing. And then the Head of Service issues a circular to say house officers should not be paid because they have not gone on NYSC. This is not right.

Truly, the only agreement they do not breach is corruption agreement.

NMA, u have to understand that u need to be ready every 6 months to sign a new agreement. Because every time another illiterate takes over, your agreement is null and void..NMA, don't be offended, stuff happens when u deal with illiterates..
