Entrepreneur and the Chief Executive Officer of Bouqui Event Management Company, Bukola Arokoyo, tells TOFARATI IGE about her business and the event management industryBesides being a graduate of Sociology from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Osun State, and a Master’s degree holder in Public Administration from the University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos, I also have professional certificates in Human Resources.

Hence, at some point about five years ago, I realised that I could translate my passion for assisting people to solve their problems into a full-time business that would give me full control over my time, the flexibility to really channel my creative energy into something I would love doing, while at the same time, achieve financial independence.

Nevertheless, in terms of actual offerings, we provide event planning initiatives in the areas of surprise planning, birthday celebrations, weddings and anniversaries, organisation of in-person and virtual seminars, just to mention a few.I was fortunate to have had a support system that enabled me to crowd-fund through family, friends and one or two traditional financial institutions.
