MRS Oil Nigeria Plc has appointed Mr Marco Storari as Director and Managing Director of the company to replace Mrs Priscilla Thorpe-Monclus.

In a notice filed by the oil firm with the Nigerian Stock Exchange, the company said the change was approved at a board meeting on August 5 and effective on the same date.

The board also considered and approved the resignation of Mr Christopher Okorie as a director of the company, effective August 5. The firm commended Thorpe-Monclus tenure as managing director, noting that she showed great commitment and dedication in her drive for the new MRS brand, which resulted in the unveiling of new retail outlets in Lagos, Owerri, Kano, and Abuja and an overall business turnaround.According to the statement, Storari is a seasoned leader with over three decades’ experience in the shipping, trading and terminal operations of the industry.

He has held various high-level positions where he recorded business successes from companies in Italy, Monaco and Nigeria. Until his appointment as director and MD , he was the Group Executive Director of MRS Holdings Limited.The board expressed confidence that he would bring to bear his wealth of experience in the industry to improve business efficiency.All rights reserved.
