Popular comic actor, John Okafor, also known as Mr. Ibu who is said to be battling stroke has come out to debunk and dismiss the report.
In a chat with Vanguard on Thursday, the actor confirmed that he is fine, stressing that he is not suffering from any form of sickness or ailment.“I have been receiving calls from across the world since today. I don’t know who is spreading this false news about me. I don’t know what they saying.The President of Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, Mr. Emeka Rollas had earlier told reporters that theshortly after he returned from his recent trip to Owerri.
Rollas was quoted as saying “I am aware that Mr Ibu is truly down with stroke, but he is fast recovering and need more of our prayers right now.” Okafor is considered to be one of Nigeria’s most talented comic characters. His humorous acting is often characterised by stupidity, hilarious imbecility and a sharp disconnection from reality.
He has acted in more than 200 movies, including Mr. Ibu , Mr. Ibu in London , Police Recruit , 9 Wives , Ibu in Prison and Keziah .
