In a bid to improve the cinematic representation of Muslims, Arabel Productions recently released The Two Aishas, a family drama movie that explores the hostility that often comes with friendship and makes you nostalgic for early 2000s home video movies such as Beyonce and Rihanna and Blood Sisters, both focusing on the beef between two friends or sisters.The Two Aishas revolves around two best friends, Aisha Yusuf and Aisha Jibril . Both ladies have been tight-as-knit sweaters since childhood.
The film shies away from the stereotypical portrayal of Muslim characters by adding depth and complexity to each character. For example, we saw that, beyond being a devout Muslim, Aisha Jibiril is an ambitious woman.

Gunmen Kidnap 12 Passengers In Edo State, Nigerian Police Rescue Two Victims | Sahara ReportersOperatives of the Nigeria Police Force, Edo State Command have rescued two out of the 12 passengers abducted in the state by gunmen. Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers on Tuesday abducted 12 passengers on the Afuze-Auchi Road close to Ihevbe Community in Owan East Local Government of Edo State. It was gathered that the victims were traveling to Auchi when the gunmen stormed out from the bush, forced their vehicle to stop and whisked the passengers into the bush. A source said that the kidnappers who were heavily armed, have been terrorising the area, Punch reports.
