Angry mob in the early hours of Tuesday set two suspected armed robbers ablaze along Okumagba Avenue by Emebiren junction in Warri, Delta State.

The deceased suspects were caught and beaten to stupor before they were set ablaze, DAILY POST reports. It was learnt that the deceased suspects stormed the area at about 5:30 am in a commercial tricycle to operate but were rounded up by the mob. Divisional Police Officer, “B” Division in Warri, CSP Benjamin Igometi in a telephone chat with our correspondent at about 6:10 am said,”They just called me just now that some robbers came to attack in that area, and they caught them, and they were lynched. That’s what I heard.”

The Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Hafiz Inuwa and the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya are yet to pick calls or respond to text messages sent across to their mobile phones.
