Former Chaplain, Lagos State Chapel, Alausa, Ikeja, Very Revd Ayo Olu Oyadotun, has called on the Federal Government to address insecurity in the country.

Oyadotun, who made the call at the 59th yearly Synod of the Methodist Church Nigeria, Diocese of Lagos, at Olorunda Circuit, Surulere, Lagos, berated the security challenges currently enveloping the country, insisting that there must be a roadmap to arrest the ugly trend urgently.

Quoting copiously from the Bible, the cleric reiterated the strong need for Nigerians to unite in order to find solution to the killings and bloodletting across the country.Oyadotun, who said that the led and leaders must be God-fearing, noted, “Our challenge is not unique. It only required that we pray fervently to God to arrest the ugly situation and promote peaceful coexistence, mutual trust and unity.

He charged the church to be true light-bearers and enjoined the congregation to turn around the society for the glory of God. The event was presided over by the Archbishop of Lagos, His Grace, the Most Revd Isaac Ayobami Olawuyi; his wife, Mrs. Funmilayo; Sir. Olugbolahan Olayomi, as well as the Synod Secretary, Very Revd John Olanrewaju Solubi; the host Circuit, Very Revd Kolade Odu, duly assisted by the 2021 synod planning committee members.
