POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Alhaji Otegbeye, who is also the Special Adviser to the NURTW National President, Alhaji Tajudeen Ibikunle Baruwa, died on Tuesday aged 70.
The deceased is a key ally of the Chairman of the Lagos State Parks and Garages management committee, Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo. This newspaper learned that before he breathed his last on Tuesday morning, Otegbeye had been hospitalised since last week for an undisclosed illness. A statement signed by the Treasurer of the Lagos State council of the NURTW, Alhaji Mustapha Adekunle, confirmed Otegbeye’s exit.
“Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajiun. I mourn the passing of a father Alhaji Abdulyekeen Alamu Otegbeye.“I pray Allah comforts his family, friends and associates at this trying period.Late Otegbeye has been buried at his residence in Orile Agege, in accordance with Islamic rites.
