The Nigeria Labour Congress, on Friday, appealed to the Taraba State Government to implement the new minimum wage without delay to boost the morale of workers in the State.

State Chairman of NLC, Comrade Peter Gambo, made the appeal during the May Day celebration in Jalingo.

This is even as he lauded the governor for staging a good fight against the spread of COVID-19 pandemic in the State.

While it is equally vital and essential for them to be paid as agreed, they should understand that state revenue allocation has been dwindling since January 2029. April, May and June may be worst because of obvious drop in crude oil. I appeal to them to pls suspend their demand.

During this pandemic? Lol.... I pray they receive 100% of the former 18k minimum wage salaries.

It's even needless to say....it's just because we have a useless govt.
