The defendant, a resident of Oko Oba in Agege, was arraigned on a four-count-charge of breach of peace, threat to life, unlawful damage and spending counterfeit currency.The Police Prosecutor, Inspector Patrick Ebri, said the defendant allegedly conducted himself in a manner likely to cause breach of peace when he damaged the entrance to the complainant’s bar, one Mr Felix Ayoola, over a disagreement.
He told the court that the defendant, who was suspected to have acted under the influence of alcohol, approached the complainant for a bottle of beer which he obliged him. “The complainant rejected the fake money and demanded for his beer money but the defendant brought out a dagger from his pocket and threatened to stab the complainant.He said the alleged offences contravened Sections 56, 168, 320 and 339 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State 2015, .
