As Arsenal prepares for a pivotal showdown against Premier League title contenders Manchester City, club legend Lee Dixon has underlined the importance of Ben White in the upcoming encounter.

White's recent performances have garnered praise, with the versatile defender proving instrumental in Arsenal's attacking endeavours after transitioning to a new role this season. With just one point separating Arsenal from Pep Guardiola's side in the league standings, Sunday's clash at the Etihad Stadium holds immense significance as the title race enters its final stages.

According to Dixon, White's positional understanding and willingness to venture forward have significantly bolstered Arsenal's attacking threat, adding that his partnership with winger Bukayo Saka has been particularly noteworthy, with the duo displaying a remarkable understanding on the pitch. “When I watched him at Leeds and Brighton, I always thought he had more potential going forward than we saw of him,” Dixon told Metro UK.
