The groups, MOMAN, says the concept of buying crude in Naira from the government and selling its refined products in Naira to Nigerians was an interesting.

The Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria says the 650,000 BPD Dangote Refinery in Ibeju Lekki, Lagos will be extremely beneficial to Nigeria when it begins production.

Clement Isong, Executive Secretary, MOMAN, made this known while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria on Thursday in Lagos. “However, as a core principle, MOMAN believes that free market competition remains the best protection for the final consumer and this would be our most important consideration.

MOMAN’s position followed a proposal by the Dangote company for the government to allow only firms that refine petroleum products in the country to import refined fuel. The company said this should be made part of the Petroleum Industry Bill.

This is all confusing, what business do we have importing fuel with the emergence of Dangote refinery cum the privatisation of the existing refineries? With 5 refineries, Nigeria should be able to cater for domestic consumption and export too. No one man owns this country.

Which one is it about dangote importing fuel after it's refinery has come on stream, is it not going to be refining petrol again? What in hell is happening in this country self?

Dangote is a criminal

What you guys need to know is that Dangote Refinery is a petrochemical/fertilizer complex more than it is a refinery. They now want import license for the same product that they claim to have the largest capacity to produce in the world? What nonsense 😡
