The Maigari of Lokoja, Dr. Muhammad Maikarfi III, is dead.

The Secretary, Lokoja Traditional Rulers Council, Muhammed Nalado, announced his death in a statement on Wednesday, stating that he died after a brief illness in a private hospital in Abuja.

The monarch was 80-years-old when he died and was one of the longest serving traditional rulers in Kogi State, having ascended the throne in 1992.Tags:All rights reserved.
