Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Lotus Bank, Mrs. Kafilat Araoye, has tasked graduating students of Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) to have a sense of integrity in their endeavours.

Araoye, who gave the charge at the college’s 34th convocation lecture, with the theme: “Emergence of Successful Young Entrepreneurs in the Current Nigerian economy: The Place of Integrity,” said integrity is the act of doing the right things at all times and in all circumstances, as well as doing the right thing not minding consequences.

She, therefore, tasked the graduands with entrepreneurship skills, noting that there shouldn’t be any excuse for cutting corners to do the wrong thing. Meanwhile, the Lotus Bank MD pledged to provide job opportunities in her bank and a sum of N500,000 to the best graduating student of the college, N350,000 to the best female graduating student, a partnership with the college’s bank and Lotus bank to enable students to have a place to their internship and also to give the college an 18-seater bus.

Earlier, in his open remarks, the Rector of the college, Obafemi Omokungbe, said that the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development , which was established by the college in 2001, had empowered many of the graduates of which some have established reputable businesses in their various locations.
