The Lekki Estates Residents and Stakeholders Association says it has almost completed building an office space for police in Ajiwe station in the area.
The President of LERSA, Mr Olorogun Emadoye, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday, adding that the former structure was destroyed during theHe said, “The executive of LERSA approved and released N8.5m for the project, which was raised from the members through donation of cash and materials.
“The association took the step to build the office space to provide accommodation for the police station, which was destroyed during last year’sprotests. LERSA has, between the 20th of October 2020, and today, also donated two vehicles to the Nigeria Police Force to assist them in the discharge of their duties.”
Emadoye added that the association had intervened in various since the protests, notably through donation of canopies as temporary accommodation to enable Ajiwe Police Station to commence work after the destruction.All rights reserved.
