Huawei Nigeria Receives National Productivity Merit Award

Huawei Technologies Company Limited, a leading global provider of information and communication technology infrastructures, has been honored with the National Productivity Merit Award by the Federal Government of Nigeria.

The National Productivity Merit Award is a significant recognition bestowed upon individuals and organisations that have demonstrated exceptional productivity, innovation, and contributions to national development. The award highlights Huawei’s unwavering commitment to Nigeria and its substantial impact on the country’s digital landscape.

The announcement was made in an advertorial signed by the Director-General of the National Productivity Centre, Dr. Nasir Olaitan Raji-Mustapha. He said, “The President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, has approved the conferment of the National Productivity Order of Merit Award on the following individuals, Corporate Organisations, Ministries, Departments and Agencies for 2021 and 2022 respectively.

Huawei has played a pivotal role in the advancement of Nigeria’s ICT industry. The company’s commitment to innovation, technological expertise, and various initiatives aimed at empowering local communities have garnered appreciation and recognition. Notably, Huawei Nigeria has actively supported local communities through extensive corporate social responsibility programs.
