The Anambra State House of Assembly has raised the alarm that Enugu-Onitsha Expressway being constructed by the Federal Government has been abandoned.

This was contained in a resolution it passed on Friday, urging the President, Major General Muhamnmadu Buhari , to direct the Ministry of Works to ask the contractor to return to site.

The royal fathers had listed the landmark projects embarked upon by the Buhari’s regime in their region to include the Second Niger Bridge, the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway, and Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway among others. “The expressway is an important trunk – a highway, known for its heavy vehicular traffic. It was abandoned and became dilapidated for several years and left the users of the deplorable road in grief.
