Lagos State Government has given directive that all the education districts in the state should organise sports competition among schools

every year to discover early talents and nurture them.Tutor General/Permanent Secretary of Education District VI, Shareefah Yusuf , who spoke during its yearly sports festival and advocacy, said the competition was Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu ’s initiative to discover and nurture talents for global competitions.

The state’s Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Jamiu Alli-Balogun, commended the state governor, District VI tutor-general, directors, principals and the teachers on the successful outing, noting that sports festival is part of schools’ learning activities.
