Lagos State Government, yesterday, said that the test-run of the Red Line Rail project would commence next week.

The state’s Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, revealed this during a media briefing to announce activities lined up for the yearly ministerial briefing to mark the fifth year in office of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

According to him, some of the completed projects would be commissioned to mark the anniversary of the governor in office. To arrest infrastructural failures, experts in the built environment have advocated stricter measures to control engineering practice and punishment for professionals who fail to adhere to the rules.

In recognition of recent gains made in the fight against oil theft in the country, the National Probity and Value for Nation Building Organisation has lauded Tantita Pipeline Surveillance and Security Company for its role in complementing the military’s effort to secure the country’s critical assets.
