The Lagos State government has announced a total ban of street trading, hawking, building illegal structure on drainage systems, and displaying of wares on walkways across the state. Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Environment and Water Resources in Lagos State, Tokunbo Wahab disclosed this on his X handle.

According to Wahab, the move is part of the renewed effort to ensure a cleaner, safer, and healthy environment. He stated that he has directed the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps to strictly enforce compliance to the environmental sanitation laws.
