Lagos- Ibadan standard gauge rail project: Track laying reaches 123km out of 156km — Amaechi vanguardngr.com vanguardnews

Chairman, Board of Nigeria Railway Corporation, Mr. Usman Abubakar; Minister of Transportation, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi; Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, and the Deputy Production Manager of the China Civil Engineering and Construction Corporation , Mr. Xih Lijun, during the inspection of ongoing construction of the Lagos-Ibadan standard gauge rail line in Papalanto, Ogun State, on Tuesday.

He said the project had been completed up to Kila village, a settlement on the outskirts of Ogun towards Oyo State. “It’s imperative that the Apapa ports must be connected to the standard gauge rail to ensure proper movement of cargoes,” Amaechi said.
