Nigerian Bank Issues Coins To Customer In Lagos As Naira Notes Scarcity Persists | Sahara ReportersThere was drama in Lagos State on Tuesday after a commercial bank resorted to issuing bags of coins to customers as scarcity of the naira notes persists. BBC Pidgin reports that an unnamed bank customer went to the commercial bank in Lagos to make withdrawal but rather than getting banknotes, the customer was given a sack bag filled with N2000 in coins in two places. Nigeria is a big joke If the coins has been in public use it would av been better,if the corrupt leader were not so interested in the high note we probably would still have the coins in the public... I hope all this niara redesigning is really for us good... My prayer always is that cenbank will change the nairas to coins. I was telling some people a couple of days ago that those coins are still available that the banks are the ones hiding them for selfish reasons. Imagine having 5k, N1 nas N2 coins. The economy wouldn't be this bad. Even N100 is useless now. You can't by a loaf of bread with it.
