The Kwara State Fire Service on Saturday recovered two corpses along Sobi road in Ilorin, the state capital, following Friday’s downpour.
DAILY POST gathered that the incident occurred during Friday’s downpour when the victims were struggling to drive through the bridge and suddenly got stuck by the flood, which pushed them into the river.Items found in their car included Islamic religious scriptures, among others. The Director of Kwara State Fire Service, Prince Falade John Olumuyiwa, urged the general public to avoid driving whenever there is heavy rainfall.
