Kogi State... it will not involve itself in the pursuit to retain the Value Added Tax as embarked on by the governments of Lagos and Rivers.

He said, “We are not created equally, and God that created us did not give us equal potential, and we have to support one another.”

Speaking further, Fanwo said, “This call shows that some of our leaders are insensitive, self-centred and trying to make policies that will further divide the country. “Kogi is bordered by about 10 states of the federation and a gateway to the north, south, to everywhere. And you know that thousands of vehicles transverse the state on a daily basis. It’s the mineral capital of Nigeria. When you look at our advantages, we should even be at the forefront of fighting for VAT to be completely retained in the state.”

He continued, “When you look at the development of the South-West in those days — the cocoa house — and the groundnut pyramids in the north, the whole of Nigeria is reaping the benefit till today. And what we need to do at this material time as leaders is to stop thinking about ourselves alone. “The position of governor Yahaya Bello on this is very clear: we will not jump on that bandwagon to call for the retention of VAT completely in the state. We are not created equally, and God that created us did not give us equal potentials, and we have to support one another.”

Yeye governor. Eye service go kill una for this country. I wish other states wakes up. The federal government for long has been cheating and oppressing states govt. Someone that calls himself a reasonable man will say he wouldn't fight to free his state from long term cheating 🙄

For over 6 years, Yaya Bello and EdwardOnoja no think of how to raise the IGR of the state. Na to Dey make noise. Please ask the man what business was he doing before becoming governor? Let’s see if as a businessman he can use that same skill to ensure Ajaokuta, Itakpe is alive.

Mumu pesin don dey talk again. Kogi that's so blessed and you can't stimulate and harness it's rich resources. Only if he knows that this is not going to be enjoyed by Lagos and Rivers alone. This is the change that will bring peace to Nigeria. Let other Governors wake up.

2)....of their hard labour should be use to improve their lives.

1) This is not the time to preach, it's the time to think and act, put human and natural resources in your state together to boost your economy. People in Lagos work round the clock 4, 5am in the morning & come back 10, 11pm to sustain the industries and economy, the benefits...
