The SSG, who described the theme of the awards, Engaging Kogi State Today for Tomorrow, as appropriate, noted that NMMA engaging the state was a preparation for a better Kogi State and Nigeria. The team leader of NMMA, Mr. Yemi Akeju, said the award was an avenue to appreciate those who have paid their dues in media industry and to raise the standard of media practice not only in Nigeria but also in Africa at large.
