A statement issued by Ajaka in Lokoja said the donation was made due to the devastating effects of floods in the state this year. The APC chieftain said the donation was aimed at alleviating the sufferings of the victims in the affected Local Government Areas .He explained that Lokoja, Ajaokuta, Ibaji, Bassa and Koton Karfe LGAs were to get N10 million each, while Igalamela-Odolu, Idah, Omala and Ofu LGAs were to receive N5 million each from the fund for disbursement to the victims.
