Kogi 2023: Supreme Court to deliver judgement on appeal against APC governorship candidate

challenging the conduct of the 14 April primary election of the All Progressives congress for Kogi governorship election.

Mr Adeyemi is challenging the validity of the primary election which produced Ahmed Ododo as APC’s flagbearer for the 11 November governorship election.The grouse of the appellant is that the provisions of Electoral Act 2022 and the guidelines of the APC were compromised during the primary election. Mr Adeyemi’s lawyer, Musibawu Adedtunmbi, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria , on Wednesday, prayed the Supreme Court to grant his client’s prayers.

However, the APC counsel, AbdulWahab Mohammed, prayed the court to dismiss Mr Adeyemi’s appeal on the ground that it is against the concurrent findings of fact by the Federal High Court and the Court of Appeal.
