Kidnappers of the retired Director at the National Broadcasting Commission, Ahmed Abdulkadir and his 15-year-old daughter, Laila, have contacted the family and requested N70 million

“They told us that she can’t even walk. We pray and hope they make it out alive,” he said.

The Spokesman for the Katsina Police Command, SP Gambo Isah, however, said efforts were being made to ensure that the former General Manager of Katsina State Television and his daughter regain their freedom very soon. It would be recalled that Abdulkadir, his daughter and four others were kidnapped on Monday night in Bakori.

The other four victims reportedly escaped when members of vigilante in the town engaged the gunmen in a fierce douel, leaving him and the daughter behind with the gunmen who later escaped into the forests.
