Kenyan authorities have launched an investigation into the operations of the British Army Training Unit Kenya (BATUK), one of the UK’s largest military training centres abroad, RT reports. BATUK has a long-standing negative reputation in the East African country, as soldiers have been accused of killing locals and using dangerous chemicals especially white phosphorus during military training.

June 27, 2023Anthony Theuri Wambui, deputy speaker of the Laikipia County Assembly, who spoke to RT said that he supports the government’s decision.
