Kano Ulamas oppose Ganduje’s directives on street begging

The apex body of Islamic religious scholars in Kano state, the Council of Ulama, has disagreed with the state government’s directive banning street begging, saying it isn’t realistic and lacks seriousness on the part of the government.

GovUmarGanduje The buttom line is no more street begging. If there is alternative for the other part of the policy, they should air it out.

GovUmarGanduje Then they should come up with something serious and workable, 'Almajiri' is an 'endemic' and needs urgent attention. We are tired of this embarrassment and lack of care to human life/self!!! (my opinion)
