The Commissioner for Information, Malam Muhammad Garba, said this during a news conference in Kano on Thursday.Garba explained that ₦836.2 million was for the payment of scholarship, while ₦29.1 million would be paid for logistics.
The commissioner said that this indicated 50 per cent increment of scholarship allowances to students. He said that Karaye Emirate, which had eight local governments with 3,094 students, would get ₦61.4 million allowances and ₦4.02 million as logistics.
