The Public Relations Officer of the fire service, Alhaji Saminu Abdullahi, told the News Agency of Nigeria in Kano, on Monday, that the recorded cases affected residential houses, shops and fuel stations.
Abdullahi added that most of the fire incidents were caused by misuse of electrical appliances and overloading of electrical outlets. The Jos Electricity Distribution Company , says it will soon restore power supply to Bauchi and Gombe States following progress recorded in the repair work of four vandalised transmission towers.The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Exploration and Production Limited and Natural Oilfield Services Ltd. have announced the successful commencement of oil production at Oil Mining Lease 13 in Akwa Ibom State.
