Kano State Government, on Friday, raised the alarm over community transmission of COVID-19 as the virus spreads across seven local government areas.

The state coordinator of the Task Force on COVID-19, Dr Tijjani Useni, who raised the alarm, told journalists that most of the 73 cases in the state had no travel history.

Meanwhile, the state government on Friday repatriated another batch of 155 to Kaduna State as part of its renewed effort to check the spread of COVID-19 in the state.

now open stupidity unveiled their age long importation of electorates from where these Almajiris were being returned,. Chad,. Niger,. Guinea! no be so!

Evacuate them to where?

Isn't this suppose to have been done before the confirmation before now? I fear for the worst.

I really hope this approach would be effective, other neighboring states are doing the same. Lot of things the government need to revisit.

Oyo, Anambra or Abia. Which one relaxes lockdown?

Its gonna be challenging for them, they should bear OK,it would be alright soon

Evacuating almajiris to where?. Because this is seem like evacuating Nigerians from Nigeria.

This is just the beginning. Sebi they were shouting Babu Corona. Esese bere ni

EmirSanusi you are vindicated. GovUmarGanduje you have murdered sleep.

The timing of this action is wrong!!! This may worsen the spread. I pray the north doesn’t regret this step...🙏🏾🥵☹️

Were they tested before being evacuated? This might just be a case of transferring the pandemic to a less prone area!

Why is the Kano Stare Governor promoting the speard of Covid 19?

Evacuating almajiris in times like this is irresponsible of any government. What happens to creating centres to accommodate them till this pandemic is over?

Someone please explain to me where they are evacuating this almajiris to? These are young kids who don't even know where they come from or do they document the kids before they are shipped out to another state to beg

Sometimes I pity them as a state when my heart is talking but when I choose to use my brain, I'm indifferent. Are these not the states where people drank the water they used in washing their hands just to show that they don't believe that Corona virus is real in Nigeria?

Good work, please watched them very well. This boys has a way of sneaking pass guards. Thumbs up kano state.

This is the best time for the boys they all failed to educate turn back on them.

Edaran

They just had to open their eyes the hard way!

Hmmmm Time Bomb. Now the money which should have been used earlier to get them out of the streets through education and make them productive is now being used to evacuate them. Big lesson.

We are discussing containment and interstate lockdown...but here we no face mask no social distancing and still transporting them to another state. COVID19Nigeria

they should keep procreating

Who are almajiris?

Kano will surprise everyone with one mad comeback
