DAILY POST recalls that the Kaduna State government shut down telecommunication services in some parts of the state for almost two months following heightened insecurity to curtail the activities of bandits in the state.
Residents who spoke to DAILY POST on the restoration of the telecommunication services expressed satisfaction with the decision. “The shut down of the telecommunication services in the state really affected business activities but with the restoration of the network, we are believing that people will be able to carry out their legitimate activities without much hindrance by men of the underworld.”
She added, “You discovered that during the shut down of the network, you could see people running to places where they can get network. Others had network designated places within their communities where they can get network and you see people standing in such places to communicate to their loved ones.
